This webinar will present all of the updates to the FY 2027 ICD-10-PCS coding system, including additions, deletions and conversions.

After completing this training, you will be able to:

  • Locate and download the FY 2027 ICD-10-PCS files on the CMS website
  • Recognize and demonstrate the use of new procedure codes, new device values, and qualifier values in the main sections of ICD-10-PCS for FY 2027
  • Recognize and demonstrate the use of new codes for procedures in the New Technology section of ICD-10-PCS for FY 2027
  • Recognize and demonstrate the use of new codes for procedures converted from the New Technology section to other sections of ICD-10-PCS for FY 2027

Teri is an experienced health information management professional, educator, and consultant with extensive knowledge in coding, reimbursement, and curriculum development. She has delivered numerous workshops and created educational materials for both classroom and online programs covering ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS/CPT coding, and reimbursement systems for hospitals, physicians, healthcare providers, and professional associations.

For more than three decades, Teri served as a clinical assistant professor in a health information management baccalaureate and master’s degree program, with a focus on clinical coding and reimbursement systems. She also has served as an author including as co-author with Lynn Kuehn of the text, ICD-10-PCS: An Applied Approach, recipient of the AHIMA Literary Legacy Award.

Teri holds a Master of Public Health degree and maintains the credentials of Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist–Physician-based (CCS-P) and is a Fellow of AHIMA (FAHIMA).
