User friendly point-and-click selections with drop down menus streamline the order entry process. Physicians may set up custom order list items and physician specific questions within the categories for faster order selections. Customized order sets can be used based on procedure, diagnosis or any number of other hospital defined criteria. Pharmacy orders are also predefined, ensuring minimal clicks by the provider. 

Full integration with TruBridge’s suite of clinical applications provides physicians with decision support tools that improve patient safety and quality of care. Clinical monitoring of drug-drug, drug-food, drug-allergy and IV incompatibility allows potential medication problems to be identified and addressed at the beginning of the order process. New diagnostic results display in the providers’ home screen alerts when tests are completed. Decision support responses are recorded and available for future review as needed. 

Order pathways are predefined based on day and hour of order generation ensuring that orders are received in a timely manner. Ancillary orders may be sent directly to the target department or routed through nursing for final maintenance. Receiving departments are immediately notified upon arrival of new orders. Each order includes an audit trail that allows the review of order details for clinical monitoring checks and overrides. 

Order Chronology provides the physician with a list of the patient’s existing orders. Providers can see order details including clinical monitoring checks and over-ride reasons. All orders may be renewed or discontinued as needed directly from the list. Order types available for review include Cardiopulmonary, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy.
